Our History

Over 15 years ago, a dream was realized with the founding of Women In Charge, a non-profit organization that "heals the spirit, builds confidence, and educates women in need so that they may provide a better life for themselves and their children".

Women In Charge is a safe, nurturing place where women can receive the following: literacy and GED preparation, counseling, job preparation, computer skills, childcare, stress management and personal growth including career counseling.  

Our Mission

Women In Charge is a mind body spirit program

for women and children suffering from poverty, neglect or abuse. 

We are committed to providing a safe and healing environment

 to help each woman set goals for her family, raise self-esteem and move toward 

independence.
